Happy Monday! Not gonna lie, I’m struggling hard over here with my first week back traveling after the lack of schedule over the holidays – it almost reminds me of working out or starting a diet. Once you have been doing it regularly and are in the habit, it’s not too bad – but getting started in your routine is the hardest part. So, I’m hoping next week will feel like normal again – until then, this will be a multi-coffee trip day!
I’m seeing a lot of spring stuff hitting the stores, but until Chicago decides to break above the 30 degree threshold, I’m not even considering touching any of it. I am still 100% in winter clothes mode, and I don’t hate the excuse to continue to go for the cozy clothes. This coat caught my eye over the holidays – because it was faux fur, because it was white, and because it was under $100. It’s a great mid-weight piece that can be worn on its own, but could also easily be layered with a puffer coat on top. It’s incredibly soft – so soft that Dayon thought it was a blanket on my couch and tried to put it on during a football game (face palm). This look in its entirety is just another example of my standard winter uniform – all black + a coat, sweater, or jacket on top. It’s comfortable, it’s easy, and you get a lot of great wear out of your basics!
Quick shout out for my new bag – I treated myself to a Christmas present and I love this purse so, so much! It comes with a convertible shoulder strap, and the saffiano leather is both durable and chic. The shape of the back and the top handle make it look much more expensive than it is – and it’s super functional! Highly recommend if you’re in the market for something new!
Hope everyone has a great Monday!
